Too old and ass cheeks.

I was reading an article somewhere I think, Glamour or something one day and there was a list of things you should not do if you are approaching 50. This list was not anything unusual you know, stuff like micro-minis and things like that. I can guarantee you that you will never see me in one of those even when I was 20. Anyway, the list included a nose ring and I have really thought about doing this. I think they are cute and I really wanted to get a small one so I guess the rebel in me said WHATEVER because I did it and I love it! It did not hurt at all either. No telling what I will do next! Someday when I am a grandma I am gonna have to explain the hole in my nose and the tatoo across my bikini line, LOL!

We went out with friends last weekend for dinner and then to a piano bar. It was a lot of fun but obviously we were the "older" ones in there. I mean there were some people that were probably a little older but not by much. We got there around 8pm so I guess that shows our age but around 11pm when I was ready to go so I could go to bed like old people do that is when the young crowd started showing up as if it was the beginning of their night. I remember doing that but now there is no way. I could never stay up that late. I guess the one thing that kind of blew my mind was the dresses that these 20 somethings are wearing, they are really tight and they are so short their ass cheeks hang out the back. These girls are not exactly petite either, they have cellulite and fat asses from the drive thrus this generation has grown up on. It is like nothing to them, a part of life I guess. All I know is, my jaw dropped when I saw their asses and the whole time I was thinking, I would look better in that dress than that 20 something but I of course would never dream of letting my ass cheeks hang out of anything.

On the diet and fitness front I am doing pretty well. My diet has been great but I think my body needs a rest with the workouts. I think I have taken 2 days off since my comp. I have so many little aches and pains and I know that it is my body screaming for me to rest. I am deaf and just do not want to admit it. My shoulder is still sore, my elbow is acting up for some strange reason, my knees are hurting, my feet are killing me (plantar FASHEEWHATER) and ever now and then I get muscle cramps like no other! You have to understand on top of all this I am doing some serious manual labor around my house. I will not bore you with the details but lets just say, I am working hard. The good news is I can do 3 unassisted chin ups now and that makes me feel like a real bad ass! I go around pulling up on everything now, because well, I can!

I hope I am just like you because like fine wine you get better with age!

I'm so glad I missed the "drive thru" generation!

Plantar Fasciitis. Inflammation of the fiberous tissue between the heel and ball of the foot.

Can also be related to a tight Achillies and weight issues.

It might be possible to relieve it with NSAIDS, doubt it would get bad enough you'd need Cortisone, possibly at some point Orthotics, but possibly you might get some relief from doing a few ankle rotations first thing in the morning in both directions.

Also if you're wearing any manky old training shoes, it might proliferate it, if you're getting too much unwanted compression of the area, and also consider that some shoes are best for Pronators,(Ankle rolls inwards), Supinators, (Ankle rolls outwards), or neutrals.

So perhaps you've bought some that aren't entirely working right with your Ankle movements, that could be a contributary factor too, assuming they're not very old ones.

If you're getting Cramps, you might need to possibly increase Sodium content a little, if it's a Sodium related issue.

Calf cramps are easy to relieve, by flexing the Foot towards your face.

Great to hear about your physical improvement and yes DO take care of yourself. Even us young'n's need our rest misses, don't forget that :-p :-p.

As ever I will wish you lots of luck and best wishes, oh and by the way, that piercing might seem cool, but let me know how it feels after you've sneezed a few times, especially if you've taken it out for some reason, and accidentally get mucous in your eye :-(

I bet you'll be questioning it then, but knowing you to any extent, you'd probably still keep it, despite the occsional sideways leakage, and possible sneeze tingles :-p :-p.

Actually I know someone who had one once for all of about 3 days, until it fell down a plug hole :-s :-s.

Take care.

:-) :-).

P.S. forgot to mention, if you're getting inflammation, then things like Onioins, Apples and Peppers might help as Quercetin is an anti-inflammatory, and also Bromelain in Pinepple might help too.

Now I think about it, too old and ass cheeks, sounds like a pair of rappers :-p :-p.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! You SHOULD be proud of all that you've accomplished with your body! You look fantabulous! Better than those poor girls with their ass cheeks hanging out! Girl, you are so amazing!~

Hey - I love the nose ring. I was considering one also but realized that I could not get away with it. My DH hated my belly ring - had to take that out.

Anyway - you know... at 45 I look around at these 20-something girls and I think: It ain't gonna get any better for you. Just wait til you pop out a couple of kids and turn 40. Good f-ing luck!

But you're right - it's like it's nothing to them. That is a sad commentary on the drive thru generation - for sure.

I'm laughing about your experience with the 20 yr olds. This is why I don't worry anymore about my looks/body. I know I look great and better than so many younger kids out there. I do envy them to a point though...they are comfortable in their own skin and the guys are not complaining. I do believe it's all about confidence and personallity that makes a person sexy. You can have the fittest male/female, but if they have no personality or just plain rude/mean, then I look at them as ugly people and find no attraction what so ever.

I'm glad you are doing great and you will be one cool grandma ;)

Sometimes I feel like the "old" crowd myself especially when I want to go to bed at 9 after a long grueling day that began at 4 in the morning. My son always tells me to "enjoy Matlock." Yeah, like I ever watched that tv show! :)

I think the nose ring is cute! :)

Hey Sundie,
Yesterday I saw a young woman pushing her bike up a hill. She was in high heels and her ass was hanging out of her shorts. It is one thing in the club at night, but it was high noon and the harsh light did nothing but highlight a cellulite problem and inspire my mother to ask if she was a "working girl?"
She wasn't, but it makes you wonder.

Take a rest, girl. You will come back stronger.

Matt, I am giving acupuncture a try this week. I have done all the things you posted about but the number one thing is I bought new shoes. I spent $175 on some great new shoes before my last show and I think I wore them out that fast with all the cardio. Since buying new ones my feet are so much better!

YAY Pull ups!

IMO You should stay away from NSAIDS...breaking down all that hard earned muscle. Hoping that you have found some relief. Maybe you just need a good long break. :-) Love ya!
